How It Works
These optimal wavelengths use light energy to target chromophores. These are the molecules that give a lesion its colour. The energy is then transferred to heat creating a photo-thermal response.
In Vascular lesions (Spider Veins, telangiectasias) the Hemoglobin is our target. The Hemoglobin absorbs the light amited from the laser, the light then converts to heat creates blood coagulation which results in the vessel collapsing and clotting. The vessel will disappear or fade over time. Multiple treatments can be required as results vary between each vessel.
In Pigmented lesions, we are targeting the Melanin. The Melanin absorbs the light causing the molecule Melanin to heat and shatter resulting in pigment lightening and or disappearance. Alma AFT uses a special filtering system to convert previously unusable short-wavelength light into a part of the usable spectrum. The result is a uniform light pulse. Utilising lower energy levels to achieve minimal discomfort

How It Works
The cooled Er: Glass 1540nm laser kills P. acne bacteria and targets sebaceous glands, addressing all forms of acne vulgaris including papules, pustules and nodules. While still achieving a gentle rejuvenation effect, diminishing the appearance of active acne and acne scars by stimulating collagen renewal.
The non-ablative Er: Glass 1540 nm laser deeply penetrates the skin, targeting water in the dermis, gently heating it to cause controlled thermal tissue damage. Partially damaging sebaceous glands to reduce sebum secretions reducing acne breakouts. Heating the underlying skin (dermis), we are stimulating the fibroblast cell which is responsible for new collagen production, improving elasticity resulting in better skin tone and improved texture.

How It Works
This energy heats water within the surface layers of the skin, causing both the water and the tissue of the skin to turn to vapour. Every time the laser passes over the skin, some of the outermost layers of the skin is resurfaced, allowing your practitioner to control how aggressive or superficial to treat your individual skin concerns.
